A creamy, flavorful chicken salad thatβs simple to make and versatile to serve β whether on a sandwich, in a wrap, or over a bed of greens.

π§ Ingredients¶
- 2 cups (280 g) cooked chopped or shredded chicken
- Β½ cup (120 ml) mayonnaise
- 1 rib celery, diced
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Dijon mustard
- ΒΌ teaspoon (1.5 g) seasoned salt, more to taste
- β teaspoon (0.5 g) black pepper, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon (1 g) chopped fresh dill (or ΒΌ tsp dried dill) β optional
Optional Add-ins¶
- 1 cup (150 g) chopped red grapes or chopped peeled apple
- 2 tablespoons (15 g) chopped nuts (pecans or almonds)
π₯£ Instructions¶
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chicken, mayonnaise, celery, green onion, Dijon mustard, seasoned salt, pepper, and dill (if using).
- Stir until all ingredients are well coated and evenly mixed.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if desired.
- Serve:
- On toasted sandwich rolls with lettuce and tomato
- In a wrap
- Over a green salad

- You can substitute green onion with chives or finely diced red onion for a sharper bite.
- To lower fat content, use a mix of Greek yogurt and mayonnaise.
